Exhale

It's Saturday. I had intended to sleep in, but Dexter had other plans. He started waking me up a little after seven, and I finally succumbed to his requests, rather angrily, a little before nine. It was a bit after that when I found vomit at the back door. Poor dog had tried to wake me up in addition to trying to make it outside on his own. If only he had hands.

Awake now, I've had my coffee and cereal and am half watching the news coverage of Ted's funeral. I have friends going to the pond today with their dogs at 1230, but I really need to clean this place up and unpack a bit more. Weighing out the benefits to my mental health of each option, cleaning the house registers as having a more long term effect. Speaking of my mental health, I can mention now that Joe is gone on his "long vacation." I have finally heard from him, and he is okay. The whole thing, both leading up to and presently, gives proper explanation to my aforementioned fog (see previous blog). I hear that's kinda how it is for a while. I'm trying to stay positive and keep busy. Ironically, it was the day he left that the hole in the roof was discovered. Of course. Anyway. That's about all I can say about that.

And so, there is much to do today, as the entire house has been put on hold for the last couple weeks with everything else going on. Yeah, it's gross, but here I go!

Oh that makes me so happy that there is hope! I'm making the call on Monday. Keep your head up about the hubs. I'm assuming "long vacation" is the big D? Welcome to the club! If you need anything, you know where to find me!
