- When you find yourself finishing up mowing the lawn in the dark because you know it has to get done because yard waste pick-up is the following morning, and you don't want to store bags of grass (hee hee) at your house for a whole 'nother week.
- When you review your paid bills for the month to excitedly see if you can go ahead and knock out the rest of your credit card balance.
- And on your first day of a three day weekend being happy about having the yard work out of the way so you can prioritize your inside chores without distraction (other than the dog you're desperately trying to keep entertained).
That pretty much brings us to where I am currently. I just finished my cup of coffee, and I'm working on getting started with the house cleaning. I have no plans for the weekend, which I'm pretty excited about actually. Perhaps I like to isolate a little too much. Oh well. Dex and I may go to the park later. Also, I really need to finally get the house all the way unpacked. My Croatian friend may be coming to visit next month, and I want to have everything squared away and looking good before that. Woohoo!!
Other stuff...My birthday ended up being far less depressing than I thought it'd be. Work was okay that day, and then I went out with a couple coworkers afterward for dinner and drinks. It was fun!! I'd really envisioned myself coming home and getting drunk and suicidal, but alas, I came home happy, pleased with the day. Also, I got a lot of love - many voice mails and texts, etc. Also, in the last two days, I've gotten multiple bottles of wine (Ma) and a nice box of Godiva truffles (Ari) in the mail. I am so thankful for my friends and family! I know Joe gave a big sigh of relief; I think he'd anticipated some degree of suicidality as well.
That's about all I got. I'll just be working on the house this weekend, with a special project being a picture design to cover a big tall living room wall. Also, I may pick out some "neutral" paint samples for my realty company to approve - some of the walls are just a tad ugly. I might even drop a few bones on a new rug for the front door and curtains for the living room. I'm trying to be all complimentary colors and mixed pattern designs. If I ever get a finished product worth a damn, I'll post pictures. Ma - wish you were here to help!! :-)
Happy weekend everyone!

As excited as I am for Ryan to return home, I am going to miss my alone time. I just like to be a recluse sometimes and just chill. I'm glad the Bday ended up being better than imagined. On my Bday last year I was all alone, did nothing, and recieved no call from the hubs. It was depressing to say the least! Hope your weekend is fabulous and productive!
Happy Belated Birthday, Katie!
Love you lots!!
