Hot Damn

I'm watching the series finale of Will and Grace. I remember watching it back in 2006 when it originally aired, and damn, I forgot how funny it is. It brings me joy. Especially Karen.

It's officially my weekend now. All tonight and tomorrow of it. I have 500 things to do or something, but in true Katie form, I'm waiting....for....? Uh, I dunno. So shit may not get done, and I'm becoming okay with that. I know what I am going to do tomorrow like it's my life's mission and that is to find shoes for my graduation dress. I'm thinking sexy with a pop of color, yet something that will also keep me on my feet instead of face planting. Oh, and I also need to do an underwear check in case the dress warrants new of that too. Yes yes.

I worked 1-9 today, which kinda blew, but I managed to get some stuff done beforehand...and before it went into the 100's today. By 9:30AM I was getting my hair trimmed - dry cut for saving time and money. And by 10AM I was buying our odd sized air filters at the only hardware store in town I can currently find them. Woot. After I got home, I spent the rest of my time before work watering my outside plants and then tending to putting my resume on the cpol.army.mil website and applying for a job on post. Hell yeah.

Of course then I went to my current job. The process of quitting is actually more stressful then continuing to work there. What the hell? I'm being made to feel fairly guilty and have even been nicknamed Benedict Arnold. At this point I'm just doing all I can to get through the day. Just five more weeks and hopefully the last four will be with my man here cheering me on. Dude better be here. Because as my beautiful Georgia BFF said when she answered the phone earlier, "Today is July 8. Do you know what that means? Eight days until Joe will be home!!!" I love her. :-)

Only 7 days now! SO excited for you! I put my notice in yesterday and feel amazing about it! I also agree on dry cutting the hair. I always wash my hair before and don't really like having it washed 26 times in a day. Hope you have a great weekend!

Wow, I just realized what you were talking about with the Graduation dress. I was so thinking "But she already graduated...". Hah!

The true optimist within me thinks maybe being snubbed at work is a compliment...they are sad about you leaving but don't know how express it in a mature way. Maybe?

Yay for sexy shoes! And a new pretty dress! xoxox

I, on the other hand, totally looked like a bio TA yesterday: olive green v-neck shirt, khaki shorts, unshowered. Yep.
