I'm glad today is over. It was so great to watch the news last night and hear the president say that we finally got Bin Laden. I was teary with such a pronounced victory, and while it won't end the war, it somehow made me feel like all this time away from my husband might be worth it. Ya know? But then today there was so much bickering and bitching (on Facebook which I should have just stayed away from) over whose president is better - Bush vs Obama and then to celebrate or not celebrate and blah blah blah. It seems the only time we can almost get along in this country is in tragedy. And even then, it's fleeting. Sure, diversity and differences in thinking make America what it is, but man, can we just cut out the bitching sometime?
Other than that, a snake got into the garage today, I walked, I cleaned, I laid around, and then finally I watched the damn Flyers lose in OT tonight. Bastards couldn't get it together. Oh well, tomorrow I'm having lunch with my BFF. It's also a gym day. Oh, and I need to get Mother's Day cards sent out. Shit, and I gotta pay rent. Tomorrow should be a pretty busy day, and then after Tuesday it's suddenly Wednesday. By Wednesday you can feel the rest of the week winding down. Thursday is trash day, and then BAM, Friday is the gateway to the weekend. One more week crossed off. And with that, I need to try and fashion some sort of happy email to my husband, who for the last several days sounds like he wants to off himself when we talk on the phone. Hooray, America!

Oy! Husbands (and life) can be exhausting. I'm finally crawling out of my funk, but man do some days/weeks kick my ass. I'm SO ready for the weekend. 3 more days...
