Twas nearing the end of Joe's absence, when all up in this bitch
Shit was going crazy, and I started to twitch.
My dress was in the closet, hung in the corner up high
In the hopes that Lu would stop sniffing it every time she walked by.
The pups were brushed and wiped down all shiny,
But nothing could be done about them licking their hinies.
And me with my new haircut and ever growing waist
Was hustling around this house, cleaning with haste!!!!
Yeah, that's kind of a long short story/poem to parody in its entirety. You get it, though. I could not get into bed (where I am currently) fast enough tonight. My feet and back ache. I have been up on the move all day, sorting, cleaning, washing, hauling away, etc, etc. I am determined to have things squared away before the last minute...instead of leaving it all until then like I usually do. Thankfully amidst all this, the weather has cooled off. Tomorrow, it's only supposed to be about 70, so I'm going to clean a little more and get some baking done. I refuse to turn on the oven when it's burning hot outside, so tomorrow will be perfect. It's also a work out day, so a trip to the gym is on the schedule, and since my new bra ripped in the washer, I need to go by the tailor... Uh, and I gotta make sure I eat since I'm a bottomless pit all the time now. And then maybe, just maybe, there will come a point where everything is shiny and clean and will only need maintained. Then I can relax again. Yes, I must never let Joe see behind the curtain.

You're my hero, Katieshore. xox
Bahahaha! That was a wonderful poem!
To answer your book question, I'm currently reading Water for Elephants and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. They are both good, but taking forever because I can't sit still long enough to read them. Chelsea Handler came out with a new one that I'm reading after. I can't wait!
