Weird Day

As the Beatles once sang, "I think I'm gonna be sad. I think it's today. Yeah." That was sort of what happened to me today. A few things beyond my control got the better of me, but I'm feeling alright now. There are times when you cannot look at the big picture, but instead need to just go day by day. This is one of those times for me.

So anyway. I woke up this morning with this red mark on my wrist. Thought nothing of it - figured it was an infected hair or something. I guess it still could be. I left it alone until tonight and then went ahead and squeezed it to get it to start going away. Now it's angry. It's swollen, hurts a little, and I have a red striation running off from the circular part. The picture doesn't show it very well because the flash keeps bleaching the whole thing out, but I marked the end of the striation with a sharpie. I guess if it keeps extending, I'll have to get it checked out. I'm going to have the doctor at work look at it tomorrow. Anybody know anything about this?

I baked a pie for the post-work Thanksgiving shin dig tomorrow. Of course the pie I make for non-family folks looks like crud. The top crust gave me fits. I have never had so much trouble with pie crust before. Oh well. It totally looks repaired, but hopefully it tastes good.

I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow. I'll especially be thinking of Joe. Wherever he is, they aren't having any sort of Thanksgiving. No meal. Nothing. Think good thoughts for him, please, as well as all the other troops gone right now. I can imagine they'd rather be home for the holiday.

Ugh doesn't that piss you off that they do NOTHING for holidays over there? They sure know how to boost morale don't they? I hope you have a great day dispite having to work. I would totally eat the crap out of your pie by the way!
