Here we are in a new year.  So far it's been interesting.  We had another couple over this evening with their 1 yr old daughter.  It was pretty chill - had wings and beer, though the wife is 36 weeks prego, so she did not partake.  I had only a beer and then a glass of champagne at midnight.  Well, the boys had other plans.  They kept disappearing into the kitchen - talking quietly.  I think they even went to the bathroom together so as not to disrupt the conversation.  No joke.  I should have known it was bad when the 4 Locos got busted out.  Yeah, they're illegal, but GA still sells them.  Shit is not good for you.  Bleh. 

With that Joe got wobbly drunk, which I had not anticipated.  He is sleeping now, but I wanted to kill him earlier.  I swear he passed out on the toilet, but since the door was locked, I couldn't get it.  Let's just say he didn't immediately answer when I called his name.  Oh, 2011, you are looking so good already!

Now, I shall jump on the recap band wagon (which may be mildly depressing):
-Jan - First full month together post deployment. 
-Feb - Joe started back training.
-March - Joe started Ranger School.  I flew to Pennsylvania while Joe was gone to see my grandpa before he died just a few days later.
-April - Joe got recycled and came home from Ranger School due to family death and pending family death.
-May - Joe's grandpa died, and we went to Missouri for memorial service.  Joe went back to Ranger School.  My family came to visit!
-June - Joe was gone, and I worked.
-July - Joe graduated from Ranger School, and family came to visit!
-August - I QUIT MY JOB!!!!  Dex almost needed orthopedic surgery, and then I hurt my back so bad we had to cancel our only time for travel (together) for the year.
-September - Susan came to visit from Boston for my birthday!!!  I drove to Tampa and bought the Pilot...by.myself.
-October -  Joe started Warrior Leadership Course.  I went to Chicago to see the Croat and meet her first child!!!!
-November - Joe graduated WLC!! We went to Mississippi for Thanksgiving!!!
-December - Joe was gone for the first two weeks, but then we had Christmas in GA together amidst him studying for the promotion board and trying not to get screwed out of going.  Yes, it was a real concern.  Woohoo!!!

Wow.

C'mon 2011, let's stop self-harming and have a good time!
