Damn it. Joe's about to roll over on his back, so I need to hurry up and go to sleep....or finally have a good night's sleep in the other room.
I passed my glucose challenge screening with a score of 88 (I think that's mg/dl or something). Anyway. Dunzo. My urine still shows Strep B bacteria (or whatever) but less this time, so no meds for now - just an IV of antibiotics about four hours before I give birth. Uhhhh. That worries me because my mom had both of us in about four hours. Sure, I may not labor like she did, but the fact is, babies can come quick, even with the first one. I'm now paranoid that I won't get the meds in time and that my kid will be born a mongoloid due to the exposure. Also, I found out the pain on the front of me next to my right rib is in fact my liver being smashed. I guess it happens, but after my appt today, I believe my liver was actually twitching. Gonna ask about that at my next appt in two weeks (they're every two weeks now...getting closer). Last, I got cleared to go to Mexico for a wedding at the end of next month, so long as everything continues to go well. The day we get home I'll be 32 weeks. That's a little nerve-racking, and I have to make sure to find as much bottled water as possible while we're there. Oh lord, don't let me get sick or have my baby in Mexico. Or, as Joe is starting to freak me out with, please don't let us get into a "false taxi cab" and be kidnapped. Shit.

Oh girl, I had to have the antibiotics too when I was in labor with Jacks. I don't remember how many IV bags it was but I had them just open the flood gates and pump that shit in quick. For some reason, and it may have just been a crappy IV job, but it burned, so they turned them on high (I'm pretty sure that's medically correct haha) and got it over with as quickly as possible.
Also, yay for another vacation! Sounds like fun. Well not the getting kidnapped part, but the rest of it. :)
